(52) Clarke County 3.16.2025

Well, the food really made up the best of this county! Nevertheless, here we go, Clarke County.

First things first, we of course stopped by the Historic Osceola Train Depot which is still a running train stop for Amtrak trains. It’s definitely still used as the parking lot was full, but we were sad to see there were no employees. You do all of your ticketing through e-tickets so it doesn’t have the same feel as a traditional train depot but has kept its charm otherwise.

A significant historical aspect of this county is the Mormon Trail so we made our way to Murray to see one of the Mormon Trail markers which is also home to the Brush College Country School House.

On our way back into Osceola, we couldn’t miss getting a picture with the famous Osceola statue before getting lunch at The Family Table. We would come back to Clarke County just to eat at the Family Table- we would highly recommend stopping here!

We decided to check out one of the county parks: East Lake Park. Unfortunately, it was quite cold and windy today so we only popped out for a bit to check out the lake.

We headed back up to the main square in Osceola. As it was Sunday none of the stores were open except Sweet Scoops, which again, we would come back to Clarke County just for this!  We were expecting just to get some ice cream before heading home but were pleasantly surprised to find they have a game room in the back with a few old school arcade games and switch game stations set up! They also have outdoor games which is fun! We stuck to the indoor games since it was pretty cold today but again would come back to hang out and get some more delicious ice cream.

Well, that was all for Clarke County- would definitely recommend eating there 😊
